Biography[]
Little is known about Wichita, except her real name and the fact that she and her little sister Little Rock, went to Pacific Playland when they were just kids. It's unknown what happened to their parents, but both stuck by each other through thick and thin, even going as far as conning people out of money to make their way back to Pacific Playland when they were much older. Even when the apocalypse occurred, they remained hellbent on their destination.
Zombieland (2009)[]
2 months since the Mad Zombie Disease spread throughout the United States, Wichita and Little Rock were still determined to make it to Pacific Playland, which they learned is allegedly "Zombie Free". In order to make their way there, they had to step up their con to survive and as a result, decided to con people out of their necessities, particularly weapons and ammo with Little Rock acting as a bite victim. This con eventually led them to their encounter with Tallahassee and Columbus, who were in a local grocery store that they were in, looking for a box of Twinkies. The 2 are successful in conning the 2 out of their weapons, car keys and ammo, while letting them take their luggage with them. Both sisters continued on their way to Pacific Playland, but eventually ran out of gas on the road, leading them to set up their con. They soon encountered the 2 from before, this time in a hummer, but allowed them to tag along, however Tallahassee, taking back his gun, led to a brief standoff between him and Wichita holding him at gunpoint. Columbus then convinces them to put their weapons away before continuing on their way. On the way however, Wichita reveals that Columbus, Ohio is a complete ghost town, leading Columbus to believe his parents dead. Wichita then realizes who he is and offers to give him a ride for a while. They soon pulled up to a truck, which she offered up to him, but he rather remained with them. They continued on their way, where they stopped at a nearby store, where Tallahassee and Columbus cleared the area before they went in and looked about. They then began trashing the place to blow off some steam before leaving. They continued to Beverly Hills and hold up in the mansion of Bill Murray, where Wichita went with Tal and Little Rock went with Columbus. Wichita was shooting a bit of golf in the manor, but one of the golf balls clocked Tal in the head, causing him to fall on the floor, where they saw Bill Murray enter the room. Believing him to be a zombie, Wichita whacked him in the back with the golf club she had in her possession, revealing he was in fact not a zombie, but still alive.
After Tal has a freak out over this, Bill then becomes their host, giving them some weed to get high off of before re-enacting scenes from Ghostbusters. Not long after, they find Little Rock and Columbus in the home theater where they are watching a movie, leading Bill to scare Columbus enough to shoot him, believing him a zombie. They then say their goodbyes before Bill dies, but not before getting Wichita to laugh a bit. They then have a funeral for him and play monopoly, where they learn Tal had a son who he lost due to the apocalypse. She soon finds herself alone with Columbus, learning more about him and vice versa, before offering to dance with him and nearly kissing him. The next morning however, she and Little Rock continue on their journey in the Hummer and find themselves arriving at Pacific Playland. They activate all the rides and begin having a good time, but as it was zombie free for a while, it wasn't long for it to become infested. Nearby zombies arrived at the park, following hearing the noise coming from the park, leading them run throughout and having to ditch the Hummer, which ended up in the nearby bay. They soon found themselves atop one of the rides, which was now surrounded by zombies. Little Rock was able to shoot the control box to keep them up and away from the horde. Luckily for them, Tal and Columbus arrived and they called out to them, making them aware that they were still alive and with all the weapons at his disposal, Tallahassee used an air horn to attract the horde towards his direction. Despite most of the zombies going after the boys, there were a couple of zombies making their way up towards Wichita and Little Rock, leading to them to shoot at them, taking out a couple before running out of ammo and waiting until they got up before hitting them with their guns. Columbus manages to get to the girls and taking out a zombie clown in the process before rescuing them. Reunited with Columbus, Wichita reveals to him her true name, Krista before they kiss. Now a couple, the trio realize Tal was missing, only for Columbus to realize he was still after a twinkie and went in after him. Wichita and Little Rock boarded the SUV the boys arrived in and nearly took off, before stopping and Little Rock tossed Tal his much deserved snack. They then board the car and begin traveling together.
Zombieland: Double Tap (2019)[]
6 years since the apocalypse, Wichita and her sister have remained with Columbus and Tallahassee, killing zombies and attempting to plant roots. They set up at the White House and finds herself in her own domestic bliss with Columbus, sleeping in the Lincoln bedroom, with a bit of an issue with Abraham's portrait looking at her and Columbus. Sometime later, Columbus proposes to her with the Hope Diamond, leading her to leave the next morning with Little Rock, believing she was being smothered by Columbus. The sisters remain on the road for a month, only to meet a pacifist named Berkely and they left her when she refused to go with them. She would find herself a minivan and head back to the White House, where she made enough noise to alert Columbus and Tal to her presence and they found her in the armory. She explained to them the situation and Tallahassee went on a psychotic rampage when he found out Berkely was a pacifist and a musician and they agreed to go find Little Rock come dawn. Wichita then goes to apologize to Columbus, however finds he had slept with a girl he just met named Madison. Believing she was not at fault here, she decided to give Columbus the cold shoulder come morning and they all left the White House to find Little Rock. Along the way, she becomes rather sarcastic and envious of Madison, who is also wearing her would-be engagement ring as well, believing Columbus proposed to her as well. On the way, they find themselves an RV, where Madison accidentally sets off an alarm, alerting a nearby horde. Wichita and the others fend them off, while also meeting their first T-800, which Tallahassee took out, despite being a bit annoyed. They boarded the RV, only to have to return to the minivan when the tires of their new vehicle blow.
Not long after, Wichita and Madison are sharing some trail mix, only for Madison to begin showing signs of the zombie infection, leading her and Tal to talk Columbus into killing her before she turns. With Madison gone, they soon find themselves at Graceland, now in ruins, but soon, an Elvis-themed motel called the Hound Dog, locating the modified presidential limo, nicknamed the Beast. They meet with Nevada, spending the night and then awakening the next morning to the sounds of a monster truck, destroying the Beast in the process, but also introducing them to Albuquerque and Flagstaff, who Wichita compares to Columbus and Tallahassee. Not long following the arrival of the 2 men, several T-800s attempt to trash the monster truck, leading both to go out and kill them, however when Albuquerque and Flagstaff return, it's revealed they've been infected, leading to an intense brawl between the zombified men, as well as Columbus and Tal. Wichita goes to shoot Flagstaff, only she doesn't want to hit Columbus as well, but Tal takes out Querq and then Nevada takes out Flagstaff. They soon hit the road again, saying goodbye to Nevada and continuing to Babylon, but not before meeting back up with Madison, who reveals to have had an allergic reaction to nuts in the trail mix. Once they arrive at Babylon, they are forced to relinquish their weapons to gain entry and find Little Rock, safe. They remain there, while Tal decides to leave, however he quickly returns, warning of an imminent attack by a horde of T-800s. The 4 begin planning their means of defense, using a massive tank of bio-fuel, as well as the hippies creating a blockade atop the tower. The bio-fuel is ignited by the 4, only to take out at least several T-800s in the process, however there were more left, leading them to take a defensive position atop a nearby tower with nothing but mining and gardening tools before realizing they are likely gonna die.
Wichita joins the others in saying goodbye, however Nevada arrives in the monster truck used to crush the Beast and rescues them, while also taking out several T-800s in the process. The monster truck however, capsizes and they leave it before ascending the building. Wichita takes a position amongst the hippies, who have set up a makeshift funnel, while Tallahassee used himself as bait to perform the Great Zombie Jump. Following their victory, Wichita accepts Columbus' proposal and Madison returns the ring to him to place on her finger. They then party with the hippies and find themselves on the road in Elvis' Cadillac.
Characteristics[]
Physical Appearance[]
Wichita is a Caucasian American female, who was in her 20s by the time of the apocalypse, possibly late 20s, as by the time of the second film, she is around her early 30s. She had darker hair by then and wore heavy eye make up in the first film, but by the second film however, wore much less make up. She stood at 5'6" tall and weighed in at approximately 118 lb. She wore a black leather jacket, with a white t-shirt underneath and a pair of blue jeans, with a pair of black boots.
Personality & Traits[]
Before the apocalypse, the only one Wichita truly trusted was her sister, doing her best to look out for her and vice versa. Following the apocalypse however, she held onto the trust for her sister and trusted nobody else initially. This also included Columbus and Tallahassee in their initial encounter. This later changed however, following their rescue from Pacific Playland, where she came to trust both men more and even began her relationship with Columbus. While she does have somewhat of a tough exterior, Wichita is not without her compassionate moments either and it's evident when she gets to learn more about Columbus, including where he was from and his life prior to the apocalypse. She felt smothered later on when Columbus proposed to her, which led her to leave with Little Rock, who felt Tallahassee was being too overbearing on her. She did show a cold streak to her as well, following learning that Columbus had slept with Madison and had shown subtle hints of jealousy throughout their journey to find Little Rock. Despite this, she still did care for him, enough so that she would accept his proposal, following the incident at Babylon.
Skills & Abilities[]
- Subterfuge: Initially, Wichita and Little Rock were experts in deceiving people out of their hard earned money. Once the apocalypse reared its ugly head however, the sisters stepped their game up to scamming people out of their weapons, ammo and even vehicles.
- Marksmanship: Wichita is shown to be an excellent shot in terms of a variety of weapons. This includes handguns, shotguns and even assault rifles.
- Weapons Expert: A requirement of the apocalypse was the ability to know how to work a variety of weapons. A prime example was when she had to clear her rifle from a jam, which would have proven fatal had she not known how to clear it.
