The tactics for surviving in an undead situation or that of a infection outbreak is a main priority.

Urban

In a urban area the undead will be numerous if the situation has gone out of hand. Infected can be expected around every corner and on every street.

  • Infestation can spread quickly in this area.

Suburban

The undead in this area not as numerous, but can still be a threat. They can attack a home without warning and without causing alarm to other neighbors, resulting in limited military or police response.

  • infestation can spread at a moderate to high scale here.

Rural

In a rural area is idea, if you know about the appearance of the undead. The rural areas do not contain a large population resulting in small groups of undead that can easily be managed. They can be the area for falling back and trying to ride out the undead situation. Unless you have no knowledge of the undead situation you can fall victim just as easily as you do in the city.

  • Infestation can spread from to low to even none to a certain degree.

Movement

When trying to get from place to place, human nature will want you to take shorter or more commonly known routes. This is not a good idea, as others who did not survive could have gone through those routes causing them to be infested with the undead. Rougher paths are recommended as well as traveling lightly. An attack could happen at anytime.

  • When traveling try not to draw any attention to you or your group.
  • Move during the day and seek saftey at night.
  • Use bicycles to avoid atracting the undead and to get through back routes.

Defense

When holding off against the undead. It is necessary to keep a straight head and to aim accurately as bullets can run out quickly. Always have a fall back in case things don't go right (if half your group is gone that is when you should fall back). Location is also key pick somewhere near supplies but out of the way from population. It is also advised to have a second story with heavy reinforced doors to sleep more peacefully (or to cry and hug your pillow safely through the night which half of you reading will). Don't panic composure is key for defence and everthing else involving the undead.

Defensive Location

When holding off at a house, do not try to gain the attention of other survivors. It may sound like a good idea to your conscience, but lights and speakers blasting off your message that you are alive can lead to the undead attacking your position.

  • So when holding at a location try to.
    • Keep no lights on.
    • Use firearms when necessary.
    • Seal off your residence.
    • Make no messages to welcome in other (potentially dangerous) survivors.
