Kara Zor-El is a Kryptonian female, born prior to Krypton's destruction. The only child of Alura In-Ze and Zor-El, Kara would be then sent to Earth, ask Krypton was destroying itself, while Brainiac also began bottling up the city of Kandor. She would then be sent to Earth to watch over her cousin Kal-El as he grew, however she didn't reach Earth until he was fully grown. Despite this, she found herself with superhuman powers on the planet Earth, utilizing them as Supergirl.

DCeased: War of the Undead Gods (2022)

Issue 1-2

Following her escape from Earth, Kara had used her old ship and landed on New Genesis. During her initial exploration of the planet, she found that the inhabitants, the New Gods, succumbed to the virus as well. She attempted escaping from the infected, even going as far as blasting some with her heat vision, but they pulled her down and infected her with the virus, leading her to claw at her face. Now a member of the Anti-Living, Kara aided the New Gods in their attack on Korugar.

This attack sent out a distress signal, which got the attention of the Sinestro Corps, who had control of Warworld, which they had in orbit around the planet. The corps attempted to obliterate every anti-living on the planet, but a green shield formed in front of their blasts, keeping them from their mission. It was revealed the Sinestro Corps wasn't the only one to receive the distress signal from Korugar, as the Green Lanterns also recieved it as well. Kyle Rayner and Sinestro's daughter, Sorinak arrived to stop her father, but before that could happen, Kyle's ring detected an incoming threat. Before Kyle could react, an infected Supergirl, holding a motherbox, flew at high speed towards Warworld, completely ignoring the lanterns in orbit. Once close enough to Warworld, Supergirl smashed the motherbox into the hull, infecting it as well.

With Warworld now infected, several energy blasts attacked both lantern corps, leading to casualties on both sides. With her task done, Supergirl then attacked Sorinak and Sinestro, who were in combat with an infected Darkseid. She was at Darkseid's side when he killed Sinestro outright. With him dead, his ring then flew to Darkseid, empowering him further and Supergirl was able to see this first hand.

Physical Appearance

Kara is a caucasian Kryptonian female in her late 20s-early 30s, with blond hair and blue eyes. She has a well-toned body, standing at 5' 5" tall, weighing in at 120 lb soaking wet. She wears a skin tight blue uniform with a red and yellow House of El family crest like her cousin, which also stands for "Supergirl". Her suit comes with a blue mini-skirt, yellow belt and thigh high red boots with a yellow finish at the top, complete with a red cape which has a yellow House of El family crest on the back. When she became infected, Kara clawed at her face much like the others infected and those cuts are clearly visible on her face.

• Zombified Kryptonian Physiology: Kara was born on the planet Krypton and upon her arrival on Earth, found herself bestowed with extraordinary powers under the effects of the yellow sun. Upon her infection by the New Gods, she became a member of the Anti-Living, but still maintaining all her superhuman abilities.
  • Solar Energy Absorption: Supergirl's cells are capable of absorbing a great amount of solar energy into them, rendering her, effectively, a solar battery. These cells aid in giving her her powers under the effects of a yellow sun and she can store this energy should she need it.
  • Invulnerability: Supergirl's biological make up her extraordinarily dense which is due to the fact that environment Kryptonians are naturally from are denser than that of Earth's. Under the effects of a yellow sun, her body is virtually impervious to physical damage as well as bullets, lasers, etc.
  • Superhuman Strength: As Supergirl possesses an extraordinarily dense molecular structure, her muscles are also known to be far stronger than that of a normal human. This gives her the ability to lift an indeterminate amount of weight over her head.
  • Superhuman Healing: Though she possesses virtual invulnerability, Supergirl has been known to sustain damage from certain beings before, like Doomsday. If however she does receive injuries that her invulnerability cannot protect her from, she can heal at a speed faster than that of a normal human being.
  • Superhuman Senses: Supergirl's senses are known to be far superior than that of a normal human being.
    • Telescopic Vision: Supergirl's eyes are known to give her the ability to see things from a great distance.
    • Microscopic Vision: Supergirl's eyes are capable of seeing things far smaller than a normal human eye can allow, such as germs and even nanobots.
    • Superhuman Hearing: One of the most iconic of her abilities, Supergirl's hearing is known to be far greater than a normal human's. She is capable of hearing things from miles away and even capable of listening to frequencies that only dogs can hear.
    • Superhuman Smell: Supergirl's sense of smell gives her the ability to detect all forms of odors on the entire planet.
  • X-Ray Vision: Supergirl's most iconic power is her ability to see through virtually every known solid object.
  • Flight: While on Earth and planets similar, Supergirl has the ability to manipulate gravitons which enable her to defy the laws of gravity which normal people cannot accomplish.
  • Heat Vision: Supergirl's absorption of solar energy gives her the ability to channel it through her eyes which produce beams of intense heat from them. She can make the beams visible or invisible.
  • Longevity: As an alien lifeform, Supergirl's healing factor and invulnerability give her a far slower aging process than that of a normal human being.
  • Super Breath: Supergirl's powerful lungs can intake tons of air which she exhales from her mouth to produce hurricane force winds. She can also apply the same power by pressing her lips to produce winds with sub-zero temperatures and therefore freeze objects.

Weaknesses

• Kryptonite: As a native of the planet Krypton, Kara is vulnerable to the effects of the radioactive element known as Kryptonite. Initial exposure causes the solar energy in her body to drain and lose her powers and prolonged exposure can be fatal. Her only defense against it is lead.
• Magic: Because of the chaotic nature magic possesses, the Kryptonian biomatrix is incapable of providing them with a natural defense and as such, Kara is vulnerable to magic.
• Solar Energy Dependency: Like all Kryptonians with superpowers, Kara must maintain exposure to either a yellow or blue sun, otherwise her powers will be weakened.
• Lead: Though not a physical weakness, Kryptonians are incapable of seeing through lead.
• Red Sun: Born under the energy of a red sun, Kryptonians possess none of their superhuman powers they would under Earth's sun. As a result, any exposure of either natural or artificial red sun energy will negate their powers so long as they are exposed.
