Rose is a character from the 1977 film Shock Waves, portrayed by Brooke Adams. She was apart of a group of tourists, who were all killed, with the exception of her.
Shock Waves (1977)[]
Rose was with a group of tourists, consisting of the bickering married couple Beverly and Norman, as well as Chuck, aboard a boat commanded by Capt. Ben Morris, along with his first mate Keith and cook named Dobbs. Their boat experiences frequent engine trouble, giving Rose some time to swim in the ocean before heading back. Once aboard, she lies on the bow of the boat only to witness the sight of a strange orange haze, which causes the navigation system onboard to go haywire. The coming night, they all witness the sight of a massive and rotting vessel via flare, sensing something is wrong in the process and Morris becomes abrasive. The next morning however, the captain has gone missing and that the boat is beginning to take on water. With little choice, they decide to take the lifeboat to a nearby island and are startled to find the body of the captain in the water, as he was believed to have drowned while looking at the underside of the vessel.
They arrive on the island, where they discover an old rundown hotel, which they believe is deserted initially. That changes when they find an old reclusive man living there, explaining to him that they saw the wreck of the old ship. Despite the old man stating there was no such wreck, one tells him the name of the ship, causing the man to go investigate himself. At some point, Rose decides to take a dip in a nearby body of water, however as she swims, she finds the dead body of Dobbs in the water, who was murdered by a Nazi Zombie while looking for food to make. When the others learn that their reluctant host was in fact a Nazi officer, in charge of this group of zombies referred to as the Death Corps, the zombies begin picking off the survivors one by one. Rose is nearly killed by one, only for her to manage removing the goggles from its eyes, killing it as a result. She is able to hide with Keith in an old furnace room.
The next day, both she and Keith find that the others have been killed and they discover a sightseeing boat with a glass bottom, which they use to escape. The zombies attack, leading Norman to kill one by removing his goggles, only for him to die at the hands of another. She sees Keith's lifeless body through the glass bottom of the boat and screams. She remains drifting for some time until a fishing boat discovers her and rescues her. Following this, Rose is seen in a hospital bed, writing in a journal, but it's repeated on the page, indicating she has lost her sanity.

Rose is a Caucasian female in her late 20s. She is physically fit for her age, with long dark brown hair and brown eyes. She wore a blue and white platted and a pair of denim shorts, over a yellow bikini.
Personality & Traits[]
Initially, Rose was an easy going woman, who enjoyed swimming often. On the island however, Rose was traumatized by the events which unfolded, leaving her mentally scarred and terrified, even when she was in relative safety in a hospital bed later. It shows that Rose had since lost her sanity, as she kept writing the same thing in a journal over and over again and what she wrote was mere nonsense.
