Jill Valentine is a fictional character and a special operations agent, appearing in the long running Resident Evil Franchise.

Biography (Games)[]

Early Life[]

Little is known about Valentine's early life, except for the fact that her father was of French descent and her father of Japanese descent.

Army & Law Enforcement Career (1992)[]

Jill served in the US Army by the early 1990s, which got the attention of Delta Force, which served as the country's primary counter-terrorism unit. Valentine was allowed to participate in an intensive Operator Training Course which took 6 months to complete, despite Delta Force not enlisting women. She specialized in bomb disposal and lock picking, showing her to be nimble through her precise dexterity, courage, discernment amid danger and resilience. It made her one of the only women ever to receive such training, capable of dismantling bombs within a matter of minutes, no matter how intricate. She would also meet Forest Speyer, who she would later work with more closely, but would later leave the military to pursue more adrenaline pumping and allowed her to dispense justice.

By 1996, she was recruited by Albert Wesker to join the newly appointed Special Tactics And Rescue Service, an elite team of the R.P.D within Raccoon City. The team was comprised of both military veterans and weapon-specialist scientists that were to take on more serious criminal activities. She would make a variety of friends in this new unit, including that of Chris Redfield, of which she developed a close partnership and friendship, as well as her demanding him to train her in marksmanship. She was the only woman to join Wesker's Alpha Team by July of 1998, serving as the team's rear security and B&E specialist. She was also among 4 members of S.T.A.R.S. to test and approve the new Beretta 92F Custom "Samurai Edge", being issued her own variant by June of 1998.

Mansion Incident (1998)[]

By late spring and early summer of 1998, Raccoon City experienced mysterious disappearances of both hikers and suburban families. It was believed to be the result of vicious animal attacks and cannibalism, leading R.P.D to be at a loss, resulting in S.T.A.R.S. teams to take over the case. They were ordered to the Arklay Mountains to investigate suspected cult activity, with Bravo team being sent in a day before Alpha Team and being subsequently lost. Alpha team investigated their comrades' disappearance, finding their chopper wrecked and the dead pilot. The team came under attack by a pack of dogs, which killed Joseph Frost and forcing the remaining members, Valentine included, to flee for the nearby mansion.

Valentine split up from her comrades and deduced that the manor itself was the source of the disappearance and the cover for a bio-weapons research lab built beneath, under the control of the massive Umbrella Corporation. Valentine began to suspect fellow S.T.A.R.S. operative Barry Burton, to be the Umbrella operative, however it was later revealed that he was being manipulated through his family and that the true culprit was their very own Capt. Albert Wesker. Wesker's true mission was to take the research for bio-weapons, then destroy the lab and kill any witnesses. The murders and reports of vicious animals, as well as cannibalism were the result of the T-Virus, which leaked out into the surrounding area. Wesker activated the Tyrant, which killed him and then setting the lab to self-destruct. Valentine and her remaining comrades were able to escape however, before the entire manor exploded.

Raccoon City Incident (1998)[]

Following the incident in the Arklay Mountains, what remained of S.T.A.R.S demanded a full investigation into Umbrella. They brought their demand to Chief Brian Irons, who denied this, as he was secretly on Umbrella's payroll. He stone-walled and buried their reports to stall their investigation and their activities restricted further under the surveillance of Umbrella. Even when the government refused to aid them, Chris, Jill and Barry left Raccoon City. Chris left for Europe, Barry Left to Canada with his family and Jill left to throw off Umbrella's surveillance, as well as anyone else who was on their payroll. She would return to the city in secret and performed a very slow, but progressive investigation into Umbrella's underground facility. 2 months later however, the T-Virus leaked into the city's water supply, which not only mutated a majority of the populace into zombies, but also ruined her whole investigation. To this end, Umbrella would take full advantage of the situation, releasing the Nemesis-T Type as a way to eliminate any remaining members of S.T.A.R.S.

Speculation varies on when Valentine decided to make her more permanent departure from the city, with some believing that it was due to the chaos caused by the hordes of zombies. Others speculate that she was trapped in her apartment building, which was then attacked by Nemesis, which happened shortly after Brad Vickers warned her, resulting in her escape from the collapsing building. Valentine would then take to running through the streets of the city, where it's also speculated that she met with U.B.C.S. corporal Carlos Oliveira, which she did, intending to reach the R.P.D. HQ and finding Brad injured by zombies at the Black Jar Bar, resulting in his subsequent death. Others say she made it to R.P.D HQ alone, with Nemesis on her tail and realizing it was no longer safe. She was also believed to have met Oliviera over comms, then abandoning the station and meeting up with him. Another account also speculates that Valentine met Carlos in the center of the city, joining forces, then planning to reach the station to escape via helicopter. A third account has Valentine meeting with Vickers, following her narrow escape from her apartment and decide to leave town together before the situation deteriorated further, but she was forced to leave him when he became infected by zombies. While she made her way to the evacuation point however, she was confronted by Nemesis once more, who took out the chopper, leading her to fight the massive creature. She would then be rescued by Oliviera, who aided in her fight against Nemesis and then took her to their current operating area.

During the course of the night on September 28th, Valentine had to work with Oliviera, as well as his comrades Cpt. Mikhail Viktor and Sgt. Nikolai Zinoviev. Despite her reservations about their alliance due to their affiliations with Umbrella, Valentine reluctantly worked together, but also learned that they were only mercenaries and not actual employees of the corporation. She worked with Oliviera and Zinoviev to repair their tram, which was their current base of operations, with Cpt. Viktor too wounded to assist. Much like her initial escape, Valentine's search had varied, with one account showing Zinoviev claimed dead and resulting the three traveling to the St. Michael's Clock Tower, which was an evac point for the U.B.C.S. Nemesis would attack the tram, leading Viktor to sacrifice himself and the remaining two to continue to the tower, with Nemesis still hot on their trail as Jill rang the bell. This would result in Nemesis destroying the chopper, forcing Jill to fight Nemesis yet again and resulting in her infection of the T-Virus strain exclusive to the Nemesis Parasites. Another account states Valentine would assist in luring Nemesis away from the tram and repair it, then apparently neutralized the B.O.W. with Oliviera's aid once more before setting off on the tram with Zinoviev and Viktor. Nemesis, surviving the attack, would ambush the tram and continue its pursuit of Jill, leading Viktor to sacrifice himself with C4 in an attempt to kill the creature. Jill was able to escape the wreckage, but Nemesis survived and both fought at the Clock Tower, where Jill seemingly neutralized the creature once more, but not before it stabbed her, infecting her with the T-Virus. At the same time, Oliviera was off trying to find a cure, synthesized by Dr. Nathaniel Bard at the local hospital. Regardless of what account one believes, Jill is infected and the extraction point for the U.B.C.S. failed.

Due to conflicting information, during the time of Valentine's infection and inoculation is unclear. One account states she remained unconscious in a room of the clock tower for 2 days and guarded by Carlos before waking on October 1 and understanding her condition. Following this, Carlos would head for the hospital to search for the cure and returning successful in his quest. Others stated that she was found on September 29th and brought to the hospital, where Carlos found the vaccine and administered it to Jill, who awoke a day later. Regardless of case however, the cure eradicated the virus in her body, with some virions dormant within it.

Following her recovering, conflicted information also vary on what actions Valentine took, including her discovery of the bomb that would be dropped on October 1 and the destruction of Nemesis. First account states that prior to Zinoviev's escape, he revealed Umbrella was using the event to test the effective nature of other B.O.Ws, leading Jill to escape the Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A, which served to the treatment of infected biomatter, leading her to discover that the city would be destroyed. She would then fight a now disfigured Nemesis, attempting to kill it with the antiviral chemicals in the plant, however would finish it off with an experimental railgun and several magnum rounds. Another account claims that Valentine was at the police station, where he learned from Oliviera that the city would be destroyed, leading both to face Nemesis, fighting up to the roof and then dropping it from the roof before their escape. The final account states that Valentine learned about the city's inevitable destruction by a TV broadcast and after being brought up to speed by Patrick, would head for an underground lab belonging to Umbrella, designated NEST-2. Here, she attempted to aid Carlos in the procurement of the vaccine and salvation of the city. Nemesis followed her, killing Patrick and attempted to pursue Jill while she synthesized the cure. She would then fight the monster at the disposal center, incapacitating the creature, but Zinoviev was able to steal the vaccine. Nemesis survived and became a colossal mass, which she used the Ferromagnetic Infantry-use Next Generation Railgun to kill Nemesis once and for all.

Following this, information also contradicts in her escape from Raccoon City. One account claims that when Valentine was at the disposal plant, Zinoviev stole an on-site chopper, with another on route to her, searching via radio. Following her final dispatching of Nemesis, she and Carlos would meet with the chopper, revealing the pilot searching for her was Barry Burton. A second account states Valentine escaped with Carlos via chopper atop the police station, following their final battle with Nemesis. A third account states that following Nemesis' defeat, Valentine headed for NEST-2's helipad, where she was disarmed by Zinoviev, holding an unconscious Carlos hostage. He destroyed the vaccine sample and nearly killed Jill, but Carlos stopped him, allowing Valentine the time to shoot Zinoviev. They would then escape with the chopper only minutes before the city's imminent destruction via an experimental thermobaric weapon.

Fall of Umbrella (2003)[]

Following the destruction of Raccoon City, Valentine worked with Chris in order to bring Umbrella down, even going as far as joining the Private Anti-Biohazard Service. By February of 2003, Valentine and Redfield would go to the Greater Caucasus region to investigate attacks similar to the ones they encountered in the Arklay Mountains. They would find a village where the people were indeed infected with the T-Virus with the only uninfected individual being a child named Anna. During the investigation, they found themselves meeting up with Wesker, who was investigating for his own agenda, but they couldn't take him into custody due to the arrival of Hunter δ B.O.Ws. They did, however, learn from their former commander that the villagers were working with Umbrella, storing B.O.Ws. Wesker would then obtain Anna's locket, using it to access a safe within her home and obtain information on the company from inside. The safe was rigged with an explosive, which led to them failing to capture Wesker, but learning of an Umbrella base in a nearby chemical plant.

They would find themselves working with their comrades in dealing with the base and end the production of the B.O.Ws within, but found the creatures overran the base and got the attention of Col. Sergei Vladimir, the base's commander. They were forced to battle T-A.L.O.S., which they took down and the others to capture the base. They failed to obtain any information on Umbrella, as Wesker wiped the hard drive, but thanks to an intervention of his behalf, Umbrella collapsed.

B.S.A.A. & Il Veltro (2005)[]

Despite Umbrella's collapse, following the verdict in the Raccoon Trials, what remained of the company's security forces were unable to stop rogue employees from selling prototype bioweapons on the black market. It was through this that the War on Terror began shifting to using such weapons, requiring new methods of combating the threat. This was when various pharmaceutical conglomerates banded together, forming the Federation of Pharmaceutical Companies. This resulted in the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance within Europe. The organization itself was far from perfect, serving as a military group, but also having an observer role in the Terragrigia Panic of 2004. This was due to the much larger group called the Federal Bioterrorism Commission. It was then suspected the the F.B.C. itself armed the terrorists and as a result, the B.S.A.A. launched an investigation to uncover the truth. A mole in the F.B.C however, began using deception, even on his own agents.

By the summer of 2005, Jill had been partnered with Parker Luciani and was sent to investigate the beaches in Italy, off the shores of the now destroyed Terragrigia. They found themselves amidst a group of both dead and living Globsters, as well as discovering a sample vial of the T-Abyss Virus. It was determined to have come from one of 3 ships used by Il Veltro, the one in question being the Queen Dido, but was said to have been sunk in the F.B.C.'s exclusion zone and incapable of exploration. B.S.A.A. director Clive O'Brian fed false information to Chris Redfield and his partner Jessica Sherawat, which resulted in the pair being abducted in Finland and taken into the Mediterranean. Parker and Jill took a small boat to the now derelict Queen Zenobia, which was infested with T-Abyss infected mutants in an effort to find their comrades. They also found F.B.C. agents aboard, including the body of one Rachel Foley, who was assumed dead, following an attack by the mutants aboard. They discovered a room with the Il Veltro flag and a mannequin tied to a chair, believing it to be Chris. They entered, but realized too late it was a trap, resulting in them being gassed and knocked unconscious by a man in a gas mask. The man was revealed to be Raymond Vester, one of the moles working for O'Brian, who wished to steer the agents towards the truth, as well as make it look as though the terrorist group was still active.

The pair came to and found themselves thwarted by Raymond at every turn, only this time, without his gas mask. In the ensuing chaos, Vester destroyed both primary and emergency communications, as well as setting their vessel ablaze, all while blaming Il Veltro. Despite Vester's attempts, Jill and Parker were able to obtain access to a radio within the lower decks of the ship, contacting O'Brian in the process. They soon realized that Redfield and Sherawat were actually heading for the sister ship, the Queen Semiramis, but they were able to rendezvous with them in the casino. They soon found themselves against Vester, who explained the nature of this conspiracy, as well as singling out Jessica as the spy. Jessica shot him, but he wore body armor, allowing him to feign death, as well as reveal to Parker the truth. Not long after, did Redfield and Jill find a laboratory in the aft section of the ship, where it was revealed that F.B.C. director Morgan Lansdale was responsible for the creation of the T-Abyss Virus, so Il Veltro had a bioweapon to utilize. He then would use the ships to provide transport to Terragrigia, issue a biohazard aboard the ships and kill Il Veltro. As a result, he would then utilize the ships for vaccine research, which would leave the researchers dead and the ships unmanned following a second biohazard.

Realizing the truth was out, Morgan, monitoring the situation on the ship, engaged the self-destruct, however Jill and Chris managed to flee, however lost Parker in the process. They found themselves aboard a B.S.A.A. chopper, where they engaged a parasite-infected whale, referred to as the Malacoda. Following the battle, Jill and Chris were then ordered to investigate the Queen Dido for evidence. In their exploration, they found several areas of the ship unflooded and the home of Il Veltro's leader for the past year, Jack Norman. The F.B.C. had already beat them there and Norman infected himself with the T-Abyss Virus, turning him into the Ultimate Abyss. An ensuing battle battle between agents and Norman took place, resulting in his destruction and the discovery of evidence, proving Lansdale's involvement. The evidence would then be turned in, resulting in the immediate apprehension of Morgan himself. Following this, the F.B.C. was dissolved, with it's staff and resources integrated into the B.S.A.A. The United Nations would then reform the group for counter-bioterrorism on a global scale, leading to the ceasing of bioterrorism in Asia, South America and even trafficking in Europe.

Spencer Estate Raid (2006)[]

By 2006, the B.S.A.A. received information on the location of the now-globally hunted Dr. Oswell E. Spencer, who was a major player in the founding of the Umbrella Corporation. He had remained hidden for sometime in his European estate and both Jill and Chris were assigned to raid the location. They hoped that any information he had would lead to the arrest of Albert Wesker, however upon reaching the library of the estate, they discovered not only Spencer dead, but having been murdered at the hands of Wesker himself. This led into a brief conflict between Wesker and his former compatriots, leading Wesker to gain the upper hand on Chris due to his superhuman abilities. Believing Chris was about to be killed, Jill charged at Wesker, forcing both of them out the library window and down the cliff, which Chris believed, resulted in her death. The B.S.A.A. reinforcements arrived and conducted a thorough search of the area, but neither Wesker nor Jill were found, resulting in her being presumed dead by November.

Under Wesker's Control[]

Despite her near-fatal encounter, Jill was injured, but was also captured by Wesker and kept alive within a comatose state, courtesy of Tricell, within an outpost in Kijuju that housed secretive B.O.W. research. The research was into a doomsday project, referred to as the Uroboros Project, which Wesker believed would not only kill a majority of people, but force evolution upon the project's survivors. Wesker wished for Jill to be the first test subject of the virus, however it was discovered that her body was harboring a mutated, but dormant strain of the T-Virus in her system, which was not completely immunized by the vaccine. The virus became active upon her becoming comatose and it fought off the Uroboros strain, which made her worthless as a test subject, yet spared her for further study. Wesker would then keep her as a "living factory", creating antibodies that would aid him in his research to further advance the Uroboros virus. This resulted in her being placed in an induced stasis, resulting in her hair changing to blonde.

With the project progressing, the need to monitor Jill was no longer required and she was released, however Wesker wished to continue experimentation on her, such as with the counterpart project to the Tricell Plaga project, known as the P30. This would allow for the creation of super soldiers, possessing enhanced physical attributes, but made them, susceptible to suggestion. The real issue with the project was it was metabolized and excreted too fast, resulting in them manufacturing a special device needed to administer the drug directly into her system. She would become an informal partner in Wesker's plan, alongside that of Excella Gionne and Ricardo Irving.

Kijuju Incident (2009)[]

By 2008, Uroboros was nearing completion by Tricell, leading Irving to head for the Kijuju Autonomous Zone in Africa. By the summer of that year, the Ndipaya Tribe had been implanted with Type 3 Plagas, with the people of Kijuju becoming hosts for the type 2 a year later, purchased by rebels, seeking insurrection. By March of 2009, B.S.A.A. spies had reported to Tricell about an active investigation and Valentine being ordered to protect Irving. She would leave behind a Kijujuan man infected with Uroboros, which took out Alpha Team, allowing her and Irving to escape from a warehouse the B.S.A.A. were aware that Irving himself frequented, leaving for the nearby quarry. There, Irving was to conduct a deal, but it never took place, resulting in him being ordered to release other B.O.Ws to combat the B.S.A.A. It wouldn't be long after that Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar had cornered Irving, leading Jill to stun the pair with a flash bomb and facilitating their escape once more, this time to the oil fields.

It was at the fields themselves that Jill offered Irving an ultimatum, mostly due to the fact that Irving knew too much and that they couldn't allow the B.S.A.A. to track them fleeing from the oil fields to a nearby Tricell facility. As such, Jill left Irving with a dominant species plaga egg as a means to fight off the B.S.A.A. following her departure by speed boat. Irving would inject himself and use his newfound powers to battle Chris and Sheva, but failing to kill them. Valentine would make her way to an ancient cave system, once belonging to the Ndipaya tribes and making her way to Wesker, who was within the ancient palace, which from there, would gain them passage to the coast to meet up with a Tricell tanker awaiting their arrival. Chris and Sheva had also arrived within the palace, on a lead from Irving about Excella Gionne, who they found within and then met up with both Wesker, who revealed that Jill was the one aiding Irving. This led to a brief fight with Jill engaging Sheva and Chris to engage Wesker.

Wesker ran out of time, leaving Jill to deal with both agents, however they were able to separate her from the P30 injector on her chest. Once this happened, Jill, who was weakened by the event, recovered and told Chris and Sheva to deal with Wesker and Excella. After both left, Jill passed out from the fight, but was found by Captain Josh Stone, who had to radio for backup, as well as a helicopter. Jill warned him about the tanker, giving them the chopper as their only means of interception and both hustled to a nearby trainyard, where Jill successfully contacted Chris. Here, Jill explained that Wesker's strength came from an unstable virus, but needed regular injections of PG67A/W and that if he was injected more times, could poison him. Following this, both she and Stone had to engage multiple Majini, causing their chopper pilot to pick them up closer than expected. Doug was killed by rebels with rocket launchers, leading Stone to take over as pilot and Jill to climb aboard. They searched for the tanker and found it, but had already launched a stealth bomber, which lost control and landed into a nearby volcano. Jill and Stone would arrive while Chris and Sheva fought an Uroboros-Mutated Wesker, who fell into the nearby lava. The pair then used 2 onboard RPGs to finally rid the world of Wesker for good.

Recovery & Resumption (2009-2015)[]

Following her return from Kijuju, Jill had to undergo several tests in a B.S.A.A. lab, mostly due to exposure of the T-Virus and drug overdose to the P30 serum for the last 3 years. The results of infusions of the T-Virus in her body revealed to have ceased her physical deterioration, while also leaving her with psychological after effects as well. She would eventually become bored of such tests, e-mailing her former S.T.A.R.S comrade, Barry Burton, which explained her eagerness to go back out into the field, following the completion of her rehabilitation. She also gave him advice about making piece with Moira, as well as hoping for a return party. Jill was able, alongside Chris, to convince Barry to join the B.S.A.A. and following her rehabilitation, Jill was back in the field.

San Francisco (2015)[]

In the 6 years that followed, Jill had completed her rehabilitation and returned to her career, but was suffering the after-effects of the P30 serum and even harboring extreme guilt over the things she did while under Wesker's control. She began looking for ways to atone for her actions, which resulted in a reckless behavior, that made even Chris Redfield concerned. Reports then came in from San Francisco about infections that had no means of transmission, as well as death and reanimation. This led the B.S.A.A. to work alongside the S.F.P.D., as well as Jill and Chris to be lead agents in the investigation. It was then a report of an infection happened within the city, leading Jill to investigate, but for Chris to order her to wait for back up. Jill however, cut her comms and went to deal with the situation on her own, leading her to find a mutilated corpse and that of the corpse's husband that went to attack Jill. Chris and S.W.A.T. teams arrived, finding Jill all bloodied, causing Chris to berate her on not following orders. She exclaimed that every second, people are getting infected and that she needed to act.

With the crime scene cleared, Jill went to a shooting range, where Chris found her and looked to dismiss her from the investigation, however Jill refused. She even goes as far as to recount the 3 years under Wesker's thumb and the feeling of wanting her friends dead as a living nightmare for her. Chris also tells her the story about Piers Nivans, who sacrificed himself in order to save Chris. He then tells her not to let the numbness reach her soul or he would lose herself. Jill looked at the mission and that innocent people were forced to kill, much like she did and desired to bring those who do such things to justice and refused to think of herself before others. Before Chris can say anything however, Jill continues what she was doing. Both Chris and Jill would end up in a B.S.A.A. lab, where they meet up with Claire Redfield, Chris' sister, who had been conducting her own investigation into a recently discovered whale carcass. They also meet up with former S.T.A.R.S. member turned B.S.A.A. advisor Rebecca Chambers. They find that the whale they found was chipped and that several others had gone missing within the vicinity of Alcatraz and that the whale showed signs of a T-Virus strain infection, like in the corpses.

With that, both Redifelds and Jill venture to the prison complex, while Chambers remains in her lab to synthesize a vaccine for this very strain. Once at the prison however, the very culprit behind the murders in the city, begins monitoring them. The tourists inside the facility are then turned and attack any others, leading to the three to save as many uninfected as possible. One of the guards is attacked and Jill attempts to save him, but it's all in vain. Jill is then exploring the nearby sewers, where she runs into Leon S. Kennedy, who had also been led to the island in his own investigation. While they recognize each other, they are soon confronted by a horde of zombies, as well as Amphibious lickers. Leon would go to use explosives to take out the horde before advancing further. The tunnel was used to transport ammo back when the prison was a military installation, which is where both compare their missions and believe there's a link between them. It's then that the pair feel a draft, as well as exposing a secret accessway, leading to the armory, where they discover incubating licker larva. They also find mosquito drones, which have been used to infect people. The culprit then gets them to the prison cells, where the Redfields are captive, but also infected and getting worse. Kennedy also identifies another survivor on the form of Dr. Antonio Taylor, who is a lead robotics engineer, who much to their shock, had been selling classified info to nations outside the U.S.

Not long after, do they discover the true masterminds of the operation being that of mercenaries María Gómez and Dylan Blake. Blake desired to punish those who benefited from bio-terrorism, which included corporations, agencies and organizations, mostly due to their inability to permanently stop the spread of bioweaponry. He reveals his plot to utilize his drones to infect the entire populace with his new strain of T-Virus, desiring only to infect specific people and that justice doesn't exist. In order to prove his point, Blake forces Jill to either kill Claire or Taylor, sparing her of infection, but Jill trains her weapon on Blake, who then kills Taylor. Jill becomes enraged, but is knocked down by María, however Leon is able to lob a flashbang towards María, allowing Jill to combat her before she flees into the sewers. In her pursuit of Gómez however, Jill runs into Rebecca, who has successfully synthesized a vaccine, resulting in Valentine telling her where the others are, as well as telling her to report on her location. Jill then finds herself after Blake to stop him from unleashing the drones. She confronts him outside the armory, with Blake desiring atonement for his actions, however he infects himself with the virus, fusing with the B.O.W known as the Megalodon.

Valentine then reconvenes with the others, with Rebecca having cured the infected and then the group look to take on the beast. Jill takes up an experimental next-gen plasma rifle, leading Leon and Redfield to distract Blake as it charges. Once fully charged, Jill is able to bisect Blake, but it doesn't kill him. Redfield and Kennedy come to her aid while Chambers takes control of the drones, turning them on Blake and weakening him. Blake intends to flee to open water, but Jill is able to distract him long enough for Redfield and Kennedy to finish constructing a rocket launcher. She then calls him out on his inability to deal with his guilt, which angers him. Jill then dives into the water and tosses a bag of grenades in his mouth, but is strangled by the strap briefly. It's then the rocket launcher is finished, leading to the men using it to trap Blake and for Jill to make the killing blow, setting off the grenades. Following this, they celebrate their victory and then go to get any remaining survivors off the island, with Redfield relieved that Jill was back to her old self again and Jill herself, agreeing with the sentiment.

Biography (Films)[]

Jill as she appears in Resident Evil: Apocalypse

Jill as she appears in Resident Evil: Apocalypse

In the films, Jill isn't seen until Resident Evil: Apocalypse, where she was initially seen in her home, likely under suspension. She heads to the RPD, where she kills multiple infected without hesitation before deciding to leave town. She would try to leave through a screening gate, only to be fired upon by Umbrella personnel, who closed to gate once the virus made its presence there. She and fellow cop Peyton Wells took refuge in a church, where they came under attack by several Lickers. Luckily for them and the survivors in the church, Alice Abernathy arrived and killed them. Jill learned from Alice that the creatures were bioweapons, created by Umbrella, as well as the fact that Alice used to work for the corporation. She aided in the search and rescue of Angela Ashford, daughter of Umbrella scientist Dr. Charles Ashford in order to escape the doomed Raccoon City. They made their way to City Hall, but were taken hostage by Maj. Cain, however Jill and the others managed to escape and attempted to release footage of the incident to the media, but both she and Carlos Olivera became wanted. She aided in the recovery of Alice from a facility in Detroit before she left on her own.

Jill under Umbrella's control

Jill under Umbrella's control

Jill isn't seen until the end of Resident Evil: Afterlife and the entirety of Resident Evil: Retribution, where at some point, she had been captured and brainwashed by Umbrella to become one of their agents. She was outfitted with a scarab device on her chest, her hair dyed blond and wearing a battlesuit tailored to her. She remained under the command of the Red Queen, chasing Alice and the strike team all throughout Umbrella Prime in Northern Russia. She finally faced Alice on her own above the now-destroyed base, only to be defeated when Alice tore the scarab off her chest. She was unconscious for a brief period before aiding Alice against a Las Plagas-infected Rain Ocampo. She is seen aboard the chopper, heading for a war-torn Washington D.C. and finally on the roof next to Wesker in the final shot of the film. She didn't survive Wesker's betrayal at the White House however.

Characteristics[]

Physical Appearance[]

Jill is a Caucasian female of French and Japanese descents, but was born in the United States. She typically is between 5'5" and 5'8" tall, weighing in at 108-123 lbs. soaking wet. She typically has short brown hair, which she wears either up or leaves down. Later on however, due to being in induced stasis, her hair became lighter and blond. She typically is wearing tactical gear, appropriate for her line of work, even when as a member of S.T.A.R.S, or as a member of the B.S.A.A. She had little choice in her wardrobe when she was controlled by Wesker, being placed in a new set of battle gear.

Personality & Traits[]

Jill is seen as a real go-getter and isn't afraid to show it, such as when she was apart of Delta Force. She has a very evolved sense of justice, which is what led her to become a cop and despite being under constant surveillance by Umbrella and under house arrest, Jill still remained determined. Her will is actually strong enough to withstand the advanced stages of experiments with P30, performed by Wesker. Following the Kijuju incident however and having completed her rehab, Jill was overcome with the after effects of the serum, as well as the overwhelming sense of guilt for her actions under Wesker. As such, this led her to perform unnecessaries risks in the field, which could've costed her her life and concerned even the likes of Chris Redfield himself, who was known for his insubordinate behavior in his earlier days. She was, however, able to overcome this by the end of the incident on Alcatraz.

Skills & Abilities[]

  • Peek Human Condition: Jill is in the most peek of conditions for a woman in her late-30s to early-40s.
