During the zombie apocalypse, India would suffer huge casualties, as India is the second most populous country in the world and some of the cities are somewhat densely populated. However, India also has the second largest military and the largest paramilitary and police forces with good surveillance and space based technology as well as really good health infrastructure for combating outbreaks like pharmaceutical industries and Epidemiology intelligence services, so these factors may be able to keep the zombie problem under control while focusing on self sufficient agriculture and manufacturing as well as civil defences training usually conducted throughout the country since it's experience in facing natural calamities and disaster relief management. Overall, a high chance for India to manage the situation well on all levels.
India In World War Z[]
India is featured heavily both in the World War Z movie and book. In the movie, the zombie apocalypse starts in India. In the book, the Indian army discovered an effective method of killing the undead, which involved taking slow, steady shots at the zombies heads.
Zombie Outbreaks In India[]
In Max Brook's book The Complete Zombie Survival Guide, there is one outbreak reported in the Indian-Pakistani border. It is the 1996 A.D., The Line of Control, Srinagar, India outbreak. There was only one zombie, wearing a Pakistani Rangers uniform, which was quickly eliminated by a sniper.
