Francine "Fran" Parker otherwise known as Fly Girl, is a fictional character and survivor, featured in George A. Romero's 1978 film Dawn of the Dead, portrayed by Gaylen Ross.

Fran and her boyfriend Stephen Andrews worked for WGON-TV, however both decided to leave, taking the helicopter and fleeing for the countryside. They would find themselves meeting with their friend Roger DeMarco and his comrade Peter Washington before venturing off. She and the group would stop for fuel for the chopper, as well as finding themselves dealing with zombie stragglers. They eventually made their way to an abandoned shopping mall, infested both inside and out with zombies. She was a bit hesitant at first to even hold up at the mall, mostly due to the fact that she was nearly attacked by a zombie that got upstairs, as well as the other 2 finding out she was in fact 3-4 months pregnant with Stephen's child. She decides not to abort it and demands to have a say in any plans the others make, as well as learning how to fly the chopper in case something happened to Stephen.
She was on the roof of the mall, armed with a rifle, taking out zombies, covering both Peter and Roger, however even she saw what happened to Roger, tending to his wounds after they returned inside. After Stephen and Peter stocked up on ammo and weapons, she aided them in locking up the mall, as well as covering them while they made their way out. She and the others remained at the mall for sometime, having fun and Stephen went to propose to her, however she decided against it. Eventually, a biker gang arrived and began raiding the mall, resulting in both them and zombies ending up inside as well. She and Peter would be the only 2 to vacate the mall, using the helicopter, following the raid.

Physical Appearance[]
Fran is a Caucasian female with shoulder-length blond hair and blue eyes. She typically wear a tan jacket, as well as brown gloves, blue jeans, brown shoes and a light gray scarf. She would later change her appearance throughout her time at the mall.
Personality & Traits[]
Francine is a smart and very strong woman, always wanting to know the plans the others made and have a say in the matter as well. She did have a playful side as well, but that didn't come out till later, following the security of the mall. Francine herself also loved Stephen, however despite this, didn't accept his marriage proposal.
Skills & Abilities[]
- Marksmanship: Early on in her survival, Fran learned how to use a gun and how to shoot properly.
- Weapons Expert: As a marksman, Fran also had to learn how to use various weapons as well.
- First-Aid: Fran showed to have a greater understanding of medical treatment, significantly more so than the others, however still limited.
- Aviation: Thanks to Stephen and at her request, Fran had learned how to successfully fly the helicopter, even though her training is somewhat limited.
- Cooking: Fran was shown to be a capable chef during her time at the mall.
