Disposal refers to getting rid of infected corpses in a safe way that will not lead to other risks of infection.

Methods of Disposal[]

Dumping[]

Simply dumping a body out into the street may seem like an easy solution, but it's impractical in the end. Corpses, zombie or not, stink and breed disease when left out in the open. However, undoubtedly there will be dead bodies lying about in the streets anyway, and one or two more shouldn't be too much of a problem. So, if you must dump a body or two, do so far away from your base.

Burial[]

Burying bodies in a grave is the most moral thing to do. it shows respect for the dead, it may also put the body and any pathogens it may be carrying out of harm's way. When burying bodies, the grave should be at least 4 to 6 feet deep, and the bodies should be placed in bags or wrappings of some kind, such as a plastic garbage bags. If possible, leave a tag of some sort to signify the person's name. Although mass graves are highly efficient, single graves are a good way to show respect for loved ones, or group members who may have died. Whether the graves are single or not, remember to mark them so that they're not accidentally dug up later by someone else. The main safety concern for burying bodies is that infected fluids may seep down into the ground into aquifers and wells, but a combination of proper location and good waterproof wrappings can help alleviate this.

Incineration[]

Incinerating bodies is another efficient and simple way of disposing of them, but it has its drawbacks. First and foremost, the bodies must be soaked in gasoline or some other fuel, which can be put to better use elsewhere. However using a large pyre made of solid fuel like logs planks branches etc. is an alternative to using gasoline and will fully burn the infected corpse into cremains, Additionally, burning bodies attracts attention with smoke and the smell of burning flesh. In addition to these drawbacks, Fire can be dangerous and get out of control; Incineration can and will destroy all zombie viruses which is a great way for cleanup, Incineration may be the most efficient and riskiest option.

Burial At Sea[]

On a ship or boat, burial at sea is sometimes the only option. Throwing bodies into the water should only be done if the body is uninfected. Failure to do so could result in the infection spreading through water, or the body washing up somewhere else. If a burial at sea is necessary, tie a weight around the body's ankles, so as to allow the body to sink.
