He was in college before getting drafted and would eventually come to serve in J Company of the 86th Airborne of the US Army. Afterwards, he recovered in the hospital for 2 months and then became a drifter sometime later.

Night of the Living Dead (V2)[]

5 months later, Norris was on his way towards Washington D.C. where he planned on reading a letter he wrote to President Johnson. He would find himself crossing paths with a couple who were having sex in their car. He stopped and asked if Route 495 was down the way he was going, which they confirmed. With that, he continued on his way, leaving the couple alone to continue their amorous endeavour. Once on the route, he began hitchhiking, stopping a bus full of people on their way to a peace rally in D.C. This was where he met Laura, Roger and Tracy.

He and the others finally made it to D.C, where the group made a pit stop in a local church. While Roger and Tracy were in the bathroom, Christian and Laura remained outside. That's where Christian got spit on his jacket by a passing convoy of troops, calling him a "Pinko Commie F--", which Laura said to him they were going to pretend that didn't just happen. It was then that he replied with that was happening too often nowadays. It was then that out of nowhere they heard a clanging sound, at least Laura heard it. As they waited for the others to come out, Christian inquired about Laura and Roger, but she much rather talk about him. This was where he revealed to her what happened and how he planned on exposing what happened to him in Vietnam.

He planned this, as he would likely be safe or make him easy pickings for a sniper as he exposed what happened. It's then that both are attacked by a strange man. It only stopped when Christian punched his face, knocking out some teeth, leading to the man to go after another couple. Christian found skin and blood on his knuckles, but protested he didn't think he hit him that hard. They soon met back up with Tracy and Roger, telling them what happened and Roger comforting her. They soon found themselves at the rally, near the Washington Monument, which was where Christian read his letter to the President aloud for all to hear. Everybody listened to him and soon after, began rioting, causing police and army to react in kind. It's then Christian and Laura reunited during the chaos, however heard gunfire nearby.

The other soldiers began opening fire at the hippies in the crowd, which Christian and Laura avoided. They soon heard sounds from the distance, gunfire, explosions and people screaming. Christian then plans on getting indoors right away, but are then attacked by a couple zombies, which Christian was able to take out one, but an MP was able to save Laura from the other. They then planned for them to get out of there, which Christian agreed with, taking his Colt M1911A1 from his backpack and aimed it towards two people walking towards them. It was then revealed to be both Roger and Tracy, who reunited with them. Roger had an M-16 on him, but it was taken by the MP and given to Christian, given his military background and ordered them to stick together and if they fell behind, they were on their own.

It was then that the group found themselves surrounded by zombies, which they dispatched by shooting them in the head. They would eventually found themselves leaving the bloody sight and headed back for the church, where they barricaded themselves in with the priest and nun that were there currently. It would be then that they planned to shut the lights, which caused a fight to break out between Laura and Tracy, but stopped by the priest and an MP. Christian proposed they wait there until morning for troops to come and rescue survivors, but the MP said this was a big "if" considering the zombies outside. They then inquired about how secure the church was, to which the priest replied with not at all safe. It was then Christian gave his sidearm to the priest, who revealed to be a veteran of the Korean War and apart of the 187th Airborne.

With that, Christian and the two MPs got outside and began taking down nearby zombies. The priest elected to stay behind, while the others went to escape. One of the MP's rifles jammed and Christian tossed his M-16 to him, while he cleared the jam. During this incident, Roger and Tracy went to escape, only to be attacked by zombies, leaving little choice but for them to be killed in the process. With this, the priest was attacked, as was the nun, but the nun was able to escape unharmed and the others took out incoming zombies. Sometime later, it's revealed that Christian survived that night with what remained of his group and he began speaking as a beacon of hope to remedy what had happened in the past. At this time as well, both he and Laura have become a couple, possibly married, but as to this is the case is unknown.

Personality[]

Christian was a proud American and loved his country dearly, but after witnessing the atrocities first hand in Vietnam, his faith in his country was shaken. This is what caused him to wound himself in the line of duty and get him shipped back home, so he could reveal the truth to people in D.C. of US soldiers actually murdering innocent people over in Vietnam, regardless of whether or not they were members of the NVA. He was definitely no coward and demonstrated this when he was forced to take up arms against the zombie attack in the capital. His true intention was to see change for the country and stop the unjust killing of people overseas, as well as in the United States.

Skills[]

  • Leadership: As a soldier, Christian demonstrated to be an excellent leader under fire, even if he truly wasn't being attacked by those with munitions, as zombies needed no such thing. He kept a cool head about himself throughout the events of the night the zombies came knocking and ensured the survival of most of their group through the night.
  • Marksmanship: Being a soldier, Christian was trained in the art of sharpshooting and demonstrated this with the use of the M-16 rifle. He was able to dispatch several zombies with several rounds to the head. He was also excellent with the use of sidearms.
