Zombiepedia

Max Brook's Zombies are a special kind of zombie separated from others infected from a virus. Similar to The Walking Dead "Walkers" or (possible since the origin is unknown) The Romero Zombies, they are infected with a virus that kills the host before reanimating them. Unlike them however, the virus mutates each infected cell into a sort of organ, independent from every other cell, and the physiological tasks it once performed for the human. They also are directly in humanity's history, being shown to interact with the uninfected since at least 60,000 BCE.

Those infected will also have a longer time to turn into a zombie, which takes about 23 hours instead of the seconds or minutes of the Rage or Wildfire Viruses. The only way to get infected is from bite or scratch, as the virus dies quickly in open surfaces, water, or in exposed air. These zombies are slow and can be killed easily via the head, but it's unknown nature at first lead to the militaries of the world being overwhelmed.

Differences from other Zombies[]

  • While modern infected zombies turn between a matter of seconds to minutes, Max Brook's Solanum infected Zombies turn in 23 hours and die 3 hours before reanimation.
