Bill is a fictional character and one of the 4 survivors from Left 4 Dead and appeared in it's sequel, Left 4 Dead 2. The likeness of Bernard Fouquet was used for the character, while his voice was provided by Jim French.
Background[]
Bill served 2 tours in Vietnam before shrapnel to the knee which led to both permanent damage and an honorable discharge. Several decades had gone by and Bill was drifting off from one dead-end job to the next until two days prior to the outbreak, he was at a veterans hospital, likely due to his knee. He shot down a person attempting small talk with him, prior to undergoing anesthesia, but before going under, a nurse was infected and began slaying the entire surgical team. In order to keep himself alive, Bill, through his sheer will, was able to stave off the anesthetic and take down the nurse. With that, he finds out that the nurse wasn't the only infected and that more were outside, so he ends up going home, where he takes up his old uniform and begins doing what he does best: fighting.

Characteristics[]
Physical Appearance[]
Bill is a middle-aged man, likely in his late 50s to early 60s, with gray hair, beard and blue eyes. He has a rather gruff look to him, which shows he's seen things that would likely make normal people puke. Despite his age, Bill is still in good physical condition. He wears his old Vietnam War uniform, consisting of a green button shirt, white t-shirt, green pants and black army boots, complete with a beret.
Personality & Traits[]
Like many soldiers, Bill is a tough and no nonsense man, who's seen his fair share of hell, considering his time in Vietnam. He has somewhat of a rivalry with Francis, though the exact origin of this is unknown. He's got a good disposition with Louis and an almost father-daughter relationship with Zoey.
